Encore Sustainable Design NPI 50 Anniversary

Ward Bucher attended the National Preservation Institute 50th Anniversary hosted by the Arts Club of Washington, DC. The speaker was Tom Mayes, Vice President and Senior Counsel of the National Trust for Historic Preservation and author of the recently published Why Old Places Matter: How Historic Places Affect Our Identity and Well-Being (Rowman & Littlefield). The crowd included current and retired NPI members in the fields of preservation architecture, planning, law and administration. John Sprinkle, a historian with the National Park Service, expressed thanks to the Arts Club for hosting the monthly Preservation Roundtable for 50 years.
